CANNES - MEDIA in de prijzen

Androulla Vassiliou, Europees Commissielid van Education and Culture, was aanwezig in Cannes (foto's vind je hier) en feliciteerde de Europese cinema: “It's been another good year for European film-makers and I congratulate all the winners".

Drie MEDIA ondersteunde films ontvingen een prijs: Des Hommes et des Dieux van Xavier Beauvois won de Grand Prix, Tournée van Mathieu Amalric kreeg de prijs voor beste regisseur en Juliette Binoche was beste actrice voor haar rol in Copie Confirme. De Vlaamse coproductie en MEDIA ondersteunde Illégal van Olivier Masset-Depasse, won de Société des Auteurs et Compositeurs Dramatiques-prijs in de Quinzaine des Réalisateurs. In totaal waren er 21 MEDIA ondersteunde films in Cannes. "Many of the films of this year's Festival will soon be in the cinemas near you. Enjoy them!", aldus Androulla Vassiliou.
